I am a mermaid gypsea yogini.  I love to travel, swim, surf and SUP.  I teach athletic alignment based Hatha flow yoga and Yin yoga classes on land; and Stand Up Paddleboard yoga classes on the water.  I was first introduced to SUP in 2010 while working as a sea kayak guide for Pender Island Kayak Adventures.  I was instantly hooked on SUP and the rest is… well… HISTORY!  My yoga journey began in 2012 when I was going through a rather stressful break-up.  Physical movement seemed to be the only remedy to move those painful emotions out of my body.  I had always been active- trained for triathlons and open water swimming- but these were very solitary activities.  Yoga provided a connection: breath to body; body to movement and furthermore a community connection to others; synchronistic movement as a group; a collective breath; a shared space where each of us individually on our mats experience an energetic flow as one.  Yoga helped me navigate the emotional stress of the breakup and inspired me to want to learn more and to help others.  This lead to my “Mermaid Voyage” (aka mid-life crisis) where I quit my job, packed my surf boards, my dog and my VW van and drove to Baja Mexico for my yoga teacher training... well... I made it!  There and back!  And since then my voyage continues... and so does my love affair with MEXICO!

My Yoga Training and experience so far:

My passion is in hosting retreats; connecting with others through conscious conversation and collective movement.  I want to share with you what I love and what makes me feel good and inspire you to discover the mermaid within.
